ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is organising a first ever two day Seminar for creation of “SAARC Nations Anti-Corruption Forum” from September 25-27, 2016 at Islamabad.
According to NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry the seminar will discuss causes of corruption in South Asia, exchange of ideas and experiences to reduce corruption, steps taken by the SAARC countries to eradicate corruption from South Asia and efforts made to aware people about the ill effect of corruption.
He said that the seminar will provide an opportunity to all SAARC countries to work together for public awareness to fight against corruption which is one of the major hurdles in the way of progress and prosperity of the region.
He said that it will help strengthen cooperation amongst the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation countries in the fight against corruption. Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India including Secretary General SAARC have consented to attend the Seminar.
